The Heart Gallery of Greater Houston exhibition at POST Houston is a compelling showcase that raises awareness for children in foster care who are legally available for adoption and in need of permanent, loving homes. This life-changing exhibit is BEAR’s newest initiative, and it features powerful photographic portraits that capture the unique personalities and stories of these children. Serving as a beacon of hope, the exhibition inspires the community to consider adoption and support these children's journeys to finding forever families.

BEAR (BE A Resource) is dedicated to supporting at-risk and CPS-involved children in the greater Houston area through four impactful programs:

  • BEAR Necessities provides essential items like clothing, shoes, and hygiene products to children in crisis, meeting their immediate needs and restoring their dignity.
  • BEAR Back to School ensures that thousands of children start the school year with the supplies they need to succeed, removing barriers to their education.
  • BEARing Gifts spreads holiday cheer to children who might otherwise not experience the joy of the season.

At the heart of BEAR’s mission is the Heart Gallery of Greater Houston, a transformative program that not only raises awareness but also drives action. The exhibit at POST Houston plays a crucial role in connecting these children with forever families, helping to change lives forever.
