As a founding member and resident of cult queer collective Herrensauna, MCMLXXXV pioneered a change in the sound of modern techno, pushing a vibe that emphasizes faster BPMs, harder beats, and sleeker grooves. Beginning in a basement on the edge of Berlin's Neukolln neighborhood, the party quickly snowballed into a residency at Berlin institution Tresor and has since been supported by clubs like NYC's Basement and festivals like Amsterdam's Dekmantel. As one of the most boundary-pushing collectives in underground dance music, they move effortlessly between the worlds of music, fashion and art, and we can't wait to have MCMLXXXV bring their vibe to Art Club for his Texas debut.
