Itzcoatl Tezkatlipoka Aztec Dance is a Houston-based traditional dance circle that preserves and promotes Aztec dance, drumming, and culture. Known as a grassroots performing arts group, Itzcoatl fosters appreciation for pre-Columbian art through its vibrant performances. The group integrates Mesoamerican dance, music, and performance, honoring ancestral traditions. Committed to advancing Aztec art, Itzcoatl offers free weekly community classes and arts education at schools and cultural events. Their programs celebrate cultural diversity, connecting people through the shared experience of movement, art, and life.
